17 Years of Experience with Seniors & Mentally Challenged

Personal Care, Nursing Care, Home Making, Rides to Appointments, Local or Out of Town, Respite Relief

The purpose behind Woodley Care Services is to help seniors stay in their home, and enjoy where they are comfortable. Cheaper for families to stay at home instead going into long term care facilities. To provide thoroughly and carefully for the needs of the client, and do so with joy. To help with the extras that home care agencies can’t or won’t provide. And to be assured of seeing the same person on a regular basis, to build and develop trust, and kinship. Respite, for me to come to your home to provide relief for a weekend.

For anyone with special needs kids, you have funding available, but no one to take your kid to school, or spend time during the week in the evenings, or a weekend respite. I’ll provide that.

Anyone at any age can at any given time need the services of a PSW, so that is why I’m offering my services to all ages.

Ken ThomsonAs well as teaching, Ken Thomson won a seat on Owen Sound City Council, chaired the Grey-Owen Sound Children’s Aid Society, helped found the Billy Bishop Heritage, chaired the Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee, and sat on the Board of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery.

But, as many of you know, Ken’s greatest interest was to provide the people of Owen Sound and Grey County with affordable housing. He believed that a house gave a person or a family a sense of place, as well as a sense of pride. With this firm foundation, they could build a rewarding life. He chaired the Board of Owen Sound Non-Profit Housing for 32 years. This Board has provided over 350 new units of housing for our area.

In Memory of Ken Thomson

We hired Jeremy’s company to provide us with home care. Originally, we needed help for my wife showering & dressing twice a week. As time progressed, more help was required & we are now using Vallery, her care giver 5 times a week. Vallery is prompt, & on time each day & she gives careful & considerate care.

We are very pleased after our sad experience with another care company that was provide by SWLIN. This government funded service was unreliable & inconsistent & kept changing times; dates; care givers or just not showing up without explanation! To make matters worse no body seem to know who their out-of-town chief operating officer was!

Jeremy’s company is local, managed & here in Owen Sound.

Being new to the area and dealing with new medical circumstances with my 16 year old daughter, Woodley Care Services has helped us adjust immensely. I know my daughter is in great hands with Jess, Val and Dawna. They bring a great amount of joy into her life. We love them all, and are very grateful for them!

My father is suffering from Dementia and our family needed some extra support in caring for him. I reached out to Jeremy and his team for help and the result has been fantastic. Val our PSW is amazing, dad looks forward to her visits and talks about her all the time. I totally recommend Jeremy and his caring team as a source of support! Thanks.

Marty

Our 32 year old son who is disabled lives at home and requires 24 hour support. He loves music, being outside, a good joke and calm people. My husband and I both work full time so we juggle his supports throughout the day to accommodate his needs and our work schedules. When two of our privately hired support staff moved on, we found ourselves in the middle of a pandemic without a plan. I contacted several care agencies without response. A friend mentioned Woodley Care Services. Jeremy responded quickly and although there was no immediate availability (darn pandemic) he continued to communicate and let us know how he was trying to accommodate the needs of our family. It has been several months since Woodley Care Services began supporting our son and we are quite relieved and happy with the service provided. Kind, caring, flexible and obliging are a few words that come to mind. We recommend Woodley Care Services when your family is in need of accommodating and reliable support for your loved one.

Woodley’s compassionate and respectful care has given our father the opportunity to remain in his own living space. Thank you for providing such exceptional caregiving and support to our family and all our changing needs.

Jeremy is highly responsive and helped us when we were in an emergency situation with my mother in law with dementia and wandering. He helped us bridge the gap until we were able to get her into an appropriate care setting. We got daily reports about her care from her care givers and are grateful for the flexibility they have shown us. The communication was great and we would recommend Jeremy and his team of PSWs.

Jason, who’s my special needs son, and I were really happy with the support that Jeremy Woodley and his staff gave us during the summer. They were flexible & supportive when we needed them the most. We look forward to continued support from them.

Yours truly,

We reached out to Jeremy for his services to assist with our dad. Upon our initial email, Jeremy was quick to respond and set up a ‘meet and greet” in order to gather as much information about dad. He engages dad in a number of activities, (i.e. plays Crokinole, goes for walks, or simply just allows dad to share his memories). Jeremy always is in communication with us – sharing when he is arriving and how things went with dad. Thank you Jeremy for your wonderful services!

Dear Jeremy:
I just want to let you know how much my family and l appreciate you assisting with our Dad’s Care. When my family decided we needed to cover our Dad’s increasing care demands we called and you delivered support immediately. Great staff with experience who step up and are flexible with the hours we need. Due to the long waiting lists for LTC your services are so valuable. Thanks again Jeremy and your amazing staff!

Sincerely,
Liz Drimmie

Jeremy has been awesome with my Dad. Very friendly and trustworthy and even engages my Dad in activities which can be a challenge given my father’s condition. He’s been very flexible and we feel very fortunate to have him helping our family.

We hired Jeremy a couple months ago to care for our elderly grandparents. He works within the budget, and does a great job at whatever he is asked to do! He also keeps us informed about how they are doing. Jeremy has lifted a huge stress off of me and my siblings, and I would recommend him to anyone needing home care!

Recently, our family had two loved ones experience health-related emergencies simultaneously. Both of these resulted in unexpected outcomes and required various responses and care support. Furthermore, we needed help fast. We contacted several private agencies and Woodley Care Services was the only one to return our detailed call….and how lucky we were. Jeremy did not know any of us and yet he responded like a trusted and supportive friend. Jeremy was accommodating in circumstances that were evolving and changing. Not an easy task to accomplish. He literally tried his very best to make what was needed happen and happen when it was needed. We are most grateful. And by the way, he is a very personable and likeable fellow, also. A great guy! Everyone needs to know Jeremy and Woodley Care Services. You will be glad that you do. We feel confident in recommending him and his care service. You will be fortunate to have him responding to your situation. We sure were. With kind regards,

S.C. and the whole family
